SHORT DESCRIPTION OF THE ROUTE:

We start skitouring form village sioni 30 min driving from gudauri ski resort. skitouring starts from flat part and after one hour of touring we are to underfoots of mountain. After climbing 1000-1100 vertical meters you will have views of the Caucasus and an amazing view of the legendary Mount Kazbek (5047m). The beautiful landscape and the high gradient slopes give you the best runs in the area.

Required equipment:

  • Touring Skis/Splitboard (available for hire)

  • Backpack with fastening for ski or snowboard

  • Transceiver, avalanche probe, shovel (available for hire)

  • Helmet

 

The price of our program includes a safe descent to a destination with guides, improving riding techniques (if needed), and a shuttle service from the finish line to the resort of Gudauri.
